I was so happy to learn from my friend L, her sister would be taking us to Dubai! I couldn't help but think that it would be nice to add Dubai on my list of travels. I watched on the National Geographic channel, the whole island being built. It was a major multi year process, to first get the sand there and then build the hotel. I couldn't wait to see the Burj Al Arab in person!
